Adata ssd toolbox raid11/13/2023 ![]() From one of your pics, I see that the SSD is actually recognized as a RAID storage. For the time being, can you check BIOS settings > Boot > Boot Configuration > Boot Sector Policy setting, and Boot > CSM settings?Įdit: Turn off RAID (Intel Rapid Storage) settings.Įdit 2: u/Revolutionary_Pebble so it is most likely your RAID settings. I hope I've provided enough information and I hope the solution is simple (my own slip up would be easier to fix than anything else). Seen on launch: Here (fixed this link, was previously showing the storage information)Īdditionally, the motherboard layout from the manual: Hereįinally, the M.2 slot notes from the manual: Here (am I limited to M.2_1, using a 12th Gen processor?)Įdit: The Windows installation screen when the HDD SATA has been unplugged: Here Please forgive the BIOS shots, which I had to take with my phone. I've included a heap of screenshots and pictures. I am at a complete loss as to what is happening. Despite its name, it recognises my HDD but not my SSD. I have installed ADATA's SSD Toolbox, thinking perhaps I would need some kind of firmware update or something. In Elevated Command Prompt (CMD with administrator privileges), I use 'diskpart' -> 'list disk'. Launching Disk Management, again the HDD is present while the SSD is not. The HDD (and the USB I used to install Windows) is present. Launching Device Manager, I do not find the SSD drive under the 'Disk drives' section. Furthermore, under Nvme configuration I am told there are no Nvme drives. However, when looking at the advanced settings I find every single M.2 drive listed as being empty. In my BIOS, the SSD does appear under 'Storage Information' in the Ez section. SSD still not appearing with HDD unplugged, however. This was because I unplugged the wrong cable like a fool. If it's relevant, I'm running on Windows 11 Home. Installing Windows, I assumed the only drive I was seeing was my SSD - it was the HDD. I'm not sure how or why, but it still seems to run perfectly fine. This, though powered on, had its SATA cable unplugged. The latter might be hidden underneath the screen thing that runs through temperatures - this is also apparently a heatsink? The heatsink on the SSD prevented me from installing it in M.2_2, while I can't actually see M.2_1. I have the SSD installed in M.2_3(Socket 3) on my motherboard. ![]() Screenshots of everything I think I need at the bottom. The SSD is an 'ADATA XPG GAMMIX S70 2TB M.2 SSD'. I've just finished building my PC but can't get it to recognise an SSD I have installed (?). It turned out to be RAID settings hiding the SSD.
